A primary hybrid of Epi. medusae × Epi. kockii, combining the dramatic densely fringed lip of Epi. medusae with the large, broad, reticulate-mottled flowers and velvety surface texture of Epi. kockii. The result is an extraordinarily striking bloom with wide, spreading sepals and petals covered in a dense, velvety texture, and a large, deeply concave, densely fringed lip with long, rigid fringe margins and a prominent dark callus at its center.
Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to preserve the compact habit and velvety floral texture.
Temperature: 7–18°C; a cool grower that thrives with cool nights and consistent temperature fluctuations between day and night.
Humidity: 75–90%; good air movement around the roots and stems is essential to prevent fungal issues.
Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.
Additional Notes
Best grown mounted on cork or in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
